I have no illusions that I am in any way special or unique. I'm a common man, no more deserving than anyone else, but my hope is that sharing my story and perspective might help others to see some of the social problems we face in a new and helpful way. My hope is also that sharing my experiences might help others see what is possible even in the darkest of times, and to help others to stand up and speak out.
My heartfelt appreciation goes out to my family and friends for playing their parts in my life. I thank you for being part of my life, and most especially for your love, support, and encouragement. We've gone through hell and found love, laughs, and magic along the way. I cannot thank you enough.
I'd also like to express my gratitude to those who have helped shape my academic life. I thank my professors for their guidance and support. I also thank my students for the privelege of teaching, the good times we've shared, and the many things I've learned along the way.
I give my deep and sincere thanks to everyone who has read my work, to all who follow me on social media, and to everyone who has listened to and watched my media appearances. Your positive comments and sharing my work helps make my work possible. Thank you so much.
And thank you, dear visitor. My work would be nothing without you.
